Hoping your 2025 is off to an excellent start as you work towards your goals and objectives for this year. The hiring market remains healthy, and we’ve already wrapped up some challenging recruits in January, providing search success to both employers and candidates.
Several dynamics occur in the CPA job market in Q1, as new years resolutions drive renewed interest among candidates to make a change in the year ahead, while year-end reporting and audit season keep many CPAs laser focused on their work. Many CPAs preparing to make a move in 2025 are in the planning stages by February, engaging with us about their motivations as we help them develop their search strategy.
We’re also in period when candidates are waiting for their 2024 bonus payouts coming in the February to April timeframe, before they are ready to move onto a new employer. These factors can make hiring in Q1 more challenging than other periods, and we have the expertise to navigate these conditions and help our employer partners engage with top talent at any time of year.
